eBay Fraud Prevention

This phishing email preys on the fears of many people who use the internet to shop and trade goods. The sender poses as reputable financial institutions or online shops, informing the recipient that their account has been or is suspected of being used fraudulently. The sender asks for you to input your login details into the form to prove your identity or reactivate your account. In reality when the Submit button is pressed your details are sent to a bogus database which the sender can then use to purchase goods on your account. The sender will often mention a time limit to act by rushing to recipient into responding. Online shops will never send you an email asking you to confirm your login details.
